Requirements for obtaining a Class 2 (Category C) driving license in the UK
Must be at least 18 years old
Must hold a valid car driving license
Must pass a medical test
Must pass the theory exam
Must obtain a provisional license
Must complete the HGV Class 2 (CAT C) training
Must pass the Driver CPC tests to qualify

Vision test using a Snellen chart
Blood pressure test
Questionnaire about medical history
Minimum eyesight requirement of 6/7.5 in one eye and 6/60 in the other on a 3-metre Snellen chart
Need to bring driving glasses or lenses with current prescription
Evaluation for medical conditions such as epilepsy, seizures, insulin-treated diabetes, etc.

Medical frequency requirements: every 5 years until age 65, annually after 65 for existing lorry drivers; required for anyone applying for a provisional HGV license
